The BrainChild method follows the following steps and provides real-world experiences and learning that is linked to the curriculum. It also develops the skills necessary for children to succeed in the innovation era.

  • Research: Link the fun activity back to the curriculum with questions that deepen their learning
  • Plan: Students plan how to improve their projects based on their experience and their research
  • Rebuild: Students remake their project, experiencing positive mistake making through their prototypes
  • Reflect: on what they have done and learnt, including their teamwork
  • Share: Present to the group on their learnings gaining valuable communication experience

What if I don't have a strong background in science or technology?
That's OK! BrainChild Activity Sheets don't require a background in science or technology as they are based on experiential learning. BrainChild Lesson Plans provide all the information you need, including references to further information. However if all of that isn't enough, then you can ask for BrainChild to come to you to run workshops at your location, we even do professional development!

I don't have enough time to do this!
If you are a parent, then you'll find that BrainChild Activity Sheets will keep your children engaged and learning with just a little bit of guidance from you depending on their age. But what you'll notice if you get involved is that it is fun doing these hands-on activities and it will bring you and your child closer together.
If you are a teacher, then you'll find that BrainChild Lesson Plans can be done in-class during regular subject times as they are linked to the curriculum and do not need to be done as an extra-curricula activity.
